Senior Full Stack Software Developer

Summary

Join a remote-first healthcare company, Jane, as a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to improve the lives of healthcare practitioners and patients by working on user experience, creating innovative features, and reworking legacy code. Mentor junior developers and contribute to key decisions. Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, and other languages is required.

Requirements

• Growth mindset, creativity, comfort with ambiguity, and experience with scalable legacy code
• Hands-on experience with the complete software development lifecycle, especially in creating new products from scratch
• Proficiency in understanding and navigating technical standards, stakeholders, and architectures
• Significant full-stack development experience is needed, including infrastructure, backend, and frontend development
• Experience in mentoring other developers to enhance their skills and confidence
• Experience in both early-stage product development and larger, more structured company environments is beneficial
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or payments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Influence the technical direction for one of three teams to ensure an excellent user experience with scalable and maintainable code
• Engage in discussions about infrastructure, data models, services, and interfaces, contributing to key decisions
• Develop leadership skills by mentoring team members, fostering their growth, and elevating the quality of ideas produced
• Work with developers across the organization to enhance technical standards, results, and expertise
