Summary
Join Inductive Automation as a Senior Full Stack Engineer and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of innovative web applications. You will leverage your expertise in front-end and back-end technologies to build scalable, high-performance solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to process improvements. This full-time position offers remote, hybrid, and on-site work options. Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Have 5+ years of experience in a production environment as a full stack web engineer
- Possess strong experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Have experience with a Python Framework (ex. Django, Flask)
- Be proficient in at least one modern database technology (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
- Have a solid understanding of Restful APIs
- Have experience with Git and related workflows
- Be familiar with web-related AWS services (ex. EC2, RDS, S3)
- Possess excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Have experience writing automated tests
- Document important business requirements and technical information
Responsibilities
- Lead or significantly contribute to medium-to-large software releases that involve multiple people and may cross team boundaries
- Contribute to strategy, technical direction, and planning
- Work with teammates to understand stakeholder needs and deliver effective outcomes
- Participate in the design review process, seeking and providing constructive feedback
- Be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your code: development, test, production, and subsequent fixing and improving
- Contribute to team activities and collaborate within the team to solve problems
- Ensure that knowledge is shared amongst the team
- Advise engineering management with insights and recommendations to improve the team
- Assist with recruitment and hiring efforts
- Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience working in an agile team environment
- Have experience with build systems (ex. Jenkins) and build pipelines
- Possess advanced experience with AWS containerization or developer related services
- Be able to work within the Linux environment to manage web applications and related tasks
