Senior Fullstack Developer in Canada

Summary

We are seeking a passionate software engineer with experience in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and React (preferably using the Remix Framework) to join our Engineering Team as a Fullstack Developer. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving features on the Fullscript platform, building scalable backend applications, reviewing pull requests, mentoring, and advocating for high-quality code.

Requirements

• You are a passionate software engineer that cares about your craft. You are excited to learn, lead projects and want to produce the best work possible
• Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with Javascript and modern JS libraries like React
• Understanding of CSS frameworks and preprocessors
• You write tests and understand their value
• Desire to learn and being open to feedback
• Understanding of software design patterns

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve features on the Fullscript platform
• Developing and improving tools tailored to uphold the quality of our codebase and enhance the productivity of engineering teams working with our stack
• Build scalable backend applications to support the growing needs of the business
• Review pull requests, mentor, and be an advocate for high-quality code that makes future development faster, easier and better
• Scope and plan projects and working with other developers (front-end and back) to implement them
• Give input on high-level architecture decisions and communicate those decisions
