Senior Fullstack Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Software Engineer and design, develop, and maintain highly scalable applications. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver algorithmic solutions for the supply side of our market, focusing on improving carrier relationships and experiences. Leverage our advanced tools and technologies to enhance carrier integrations, performance monitoring, and post-booking processes. This remote LATAM-based role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong problem-solving and coding skills. Experience with scalable distributed systems and backend microservices is essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
• 5+ years of relevant experience building highly-scalable distributed systems
• Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Go, C++) and at least basic knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: Kafka, NoSQL & relational databases, Redis, etc
• Experience with developing highly scalable backend microservices
• Strong problem solving and coding skills. Knowledge of data structure and algorithms and an ability to use them practically when implementing solutions
• Strong capability in analyzing system logs and debugging complex software systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write detailed technical documents

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable applications
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, UXR & Data Scientists to bring algorithmic solutions to users
• Improve carrier relationships by maintaining integrations with external systems for carriers to search & book loads
• Improve tools for monitoring carrier performance & earnings
• Ensure carriers have a great post-booking experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fungible manner across tech stacks and programming languages across different domains including Backend & Frontend
• 2+ years experience developing highly scalable frontend micro-services using React
• Experience shipping high-quality product features on schedule
• Experience handling complex problems at scale
• Experience with one of the following databases: MySQL, Oracle
• Experience working across timezones with cross functional teams to collaborate and deliver on ambiguous projects
• Knowledge of the logistics and freight industry
