Summary
Join Imagine Pediatrics as a Senior Fullstack Engineer and contribute to developing, maintaining, and improving backend systems that support the delivery of virtual and in-home care for children with special healthcare needs. You will design, build, and maintain backend applications, microservices, and APIs, ensuring high scalability and performance. Responsibilities include managing AWS infrastructure, implementing third-party integrations, and guaranteeing system security and documentation. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial. You will collaborate on product development, estimate project timelines, and contribute to various parts of the technology stack. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud services, service design patterns, and modern technologies such as NodeJS/Typescript, AWS, Terraform, and React.
Requirements
- Deep understanding and experience with cloud-based services, service design patterns, data structures, data integrations
- A collaborative, client-friendly approach to API design
- Experience with modern technologies (NodeJS/Typescript (or similar languages), AWS, Terraform, React)
- Strong understanding and value for all the layers of a production system including data, internal and third-party integrations, testing, and user-facing clients
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend applications, microservices, and APIs that enable high scalability and performance
- Maintain and operate infrastructure in AWS
- Implement third-party integrations and external APIs to enhance the platformβs capabilities
- Ensure backend systems are secure, well-documented, and thoroughly tested
- Be an effective communicator while interacting with technical and non-technical audiences
- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements
- Have a collaborative, data-driven, and iterative approach to building products
- Estimate product scope and timelines
- Jump in to work on various parts of the stack as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building highly scalable and performant backend services
- Experience working in a fast-paced, hypergrowth, collaborative environment
- Experience in healthcare / virtual care
- FHIR experience
- An understanding of web/mobile uses cases and a willingness to jump into different parts of the stack when needed
