Summary

Join our team at Motley Fool Money Management as a Senior Full-Stack ReactJS and Python/Django Developer to contribute to the management of billions of dollars in client assets. As a key member, you'll build new features, maintain infrastructure, integrate with technology partners, collaborate with stakeholders, navigate financial regulations, and mentor junior members.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ReactJS/NextJS and Python/Django (5+ years experience)
  • Proficiency in web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience writing code that is deployed to a cloud environment

Responsibilities

  • Build new features and maintain the existing infrastructure of the SMA system
  • Integrate with technology partners such as Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, Orion Advisor, and HubSpot to manage client accounts, trade assets, deliver performance reporting, and track client relationships
  • Collaborate directly with key stakeholders, including financial planners, customer experience representatives, traders, marketers, and business leadership, in defining requirements and designing innovative features
  • Navigate the challenging balance of complying with financial regulations while delivering software in an agile environment
  • Help architect new features
  • Help raise the bar across the entire regulated tech team by mentoring junior members and being able to engage in cheerful technical debate

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Ability to fully implement a reference design from Figma into code
  • Familiarity with D3.js or other visualization/graphing/charting libraries
  • Work experience in e-commerce, finance, investing, or FinTech
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with containerized deployments using Docker and/or Amazon ECS
  • Solid understanding of AWS native tools
  • A solid understanding of financial industry data providers
  • Experience with Microsoft Playwright, Cypress or other similar testing tools
