Senior Full-stack Software Engineer in Worldwide

Summary

Meilisearch is looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join their Cloud team. The role involves developing and refining cloud-hosted search engine solutions using JavaScript, React, TypeScript, CSS, Rails, PostgreSQL, Heroku, Cypress, GitHub, and other technologies. The engineer will also mentor team members, engage with product managers and engineering managers, and contribute to the technical vision of the product. Soft skills required include strong bias for action, communication skills, critical thinking, commitment to learning, and experience in remote teamwork and mentoring.

Requirements

• Proficient in React, including ReactQuery, and experienced with CSS
• Knowledgeable in Cypress for end-to-end testing
• Strong background in backend technologies, preferably Rails, but also open to Symfony, Laravel, or Django, with experience in PostgreSQL and Heroku

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize front-end features using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript
• Implement styling with CSS and Tailwind
• Work on backend development with technologies like Rails, PostgreSQL, and Heroku
• Collaborate on design decisions, offering insights on technical implications and guiding pragmatic solutions
• Write, maintain, and optimize end-to-end tests using Cypress
• Conduct code reviews to uphold high-quality standards and provide feedback
