Senior Gameplay Engineer

Summary

Join The Molasses Flood as a Senior to Principal Gameplay Engineer and contribute to the development of our latest project, a new multiplayer title set within the world of The Witcher. This role involves creating and implementing gameplay systems, working closely with content teams, and collaborating with team members across disciplines.

Requirements

• Proven success in creating compelling and innovative 3Cs systems in 3rd person, multiplayer games
• Strong understanding of core 3C concepts such as camera behaviors, state machines, character movement systems, animations, and controls accessibility
• Extensive knowledge of current game titles, as well as movies and other visual arts, to use as reference for crafting and communicating original ideas
• The ability to communicate fluently with engineering, art, narrative and production
• Candidates must have a US work permit or citizenship, or Canadian citizenship
• Curiosity, kindness, and a positive and professional can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement systems in engine in a multiplayer environment, using C++ and Blueprints
• Build developer-friendly, easy-to-use, stable systems that allow design and narrative teams to rapidly build & iterate on content
• Ensure game performance standards across areas of system ownership for all target platforms
• Follow the code quality standards set by the team
• Collaborate with everyone on the team and across disciplines in achieving the overall vision of the game
• Solicit and incorporate feedback from team members regarding existing systems
• Mentor more junior members of the engineering team
