Join the Cruise People Team to drive the company's success by enabling everyone at Cruise to do the best work of their career. As a strategic and functional People Partner, you will support the org's talent strategy and provide advice on people-related actions within your client groups.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a strategic and functional People Partner
  • Use great judgment and problem-solving capabilities; as well as the ability to make thoughtful decisions
  • Analytically driven, experienced in using qualitative and quantitative approaches to problem-solving and root-cause analysis
  • Experience driving key people programs and processes (e.g. annual performance management cycles, calibration facilitation, compensation planning, executive coaching, employee relations/conflict resolution, organizational design, etc.)
  • Strong and trusting partnership with central HR functions and can represent those functions to your leaders (e.g., partnering with recruiting to inform leaders of hiring trends and opportunities)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectually curious about people and organizational issues and motivated by a desire to help others
  • Ability to balance client needs with leading and executing the people team strategy and programs
  • Impeccable discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and a high-touch approach to client management
  • Understanding of employment law and ability to apply it to the business practices you are driving and participating in

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic partnership and counsel to the frontline teams and functional managers
  • Create and implement creative and progressive talent strategies tailored to your client groups, addressing retention, engagement, and development needs
  • Partner closely with the respective org management. Support CTO managers through people processes including compensation, talent development, performance management, change management, organizational design, etc
  • Support people-related activities and programs and act as a culture champion
  • Collaborate with other People Team functions (compensation, recruiting, talent development, learning, etc.) to inform the design and implementation of People programs
  • Partner heavily with our current HRBPs, Employee Relations team, Employment Counsel, and Contingent Workforce teams to support an inclusive culture within the CTO organization
  • Coach and develop managers across the organization, from individual contributors to senior managers
  • Use data and analytics to inform key business and talent decisions
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, fostering diversity and inclusion
  • Ensure employee advocacy and fairness
