Senior Information Security Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Security Engineer and collaborate with security management to build, implement, and maintain robust security infrastructure. You will mentor junior engineers, guide the technical direction of the security program alongside the VP of Information Security, and ensure the company's information assets are well-protected. This role demands a strong understanding of security threats and mitigations, compliance requirements, and experience working with engineering teams on diverse security challenges. Requirements

• 5 years in dedicated security roles
• Must have worked in a SOC 2 / ISO 27001 environment
• Purple team mindset with experience with in offensive security and defensive mitigations
• Proven history working with Engineering teams on diverse problems from vulnerability management to architectural design
• Familiarity with practical application of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Demonstrable practical application of current security models, technologies, trends and techniques
• Strong understanding of current and emerging security threats and mitigations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams

Responsibilities

• Build, implement, and maintain security infrastructure to support Percyptyx
• Lead junior engineers by example
• Work closely with the VP of Information Security in steering the technical direction of the security program
• Ensure the company’s information assets are adequately protected against current/future threats
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional technical certifications with hands-on component such as GIAC or OSCP
• Strong commitment to documentation and sharing knowledge
• Project management skills, especially breaking down large projects and assigning smaller tasks to junior engineers
• Strong knowledge and prior experience in DAST/SAST, SCA, XDR, SIEM, IDS
• Distrust until proven approach
• Expert in cloud security, especially AWS
• Experience with security automation
• Experience building systems to requirements
• Previous SaaS experience
• Proven fluency in Python, Go, Bash or other commonly used language
