Join ELEKS Customer Support Office as a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer/L2 Support Engineer in Europe! This role involves upgrading Windows Servers (2012 to 2019/2025), collaborating with a team on system upgrades, and ensuring service level maintenance. You will handle escalated tickets, support overflow calls, and maintain the knowledge base. The position requires extensive experience in server administration and Microsoft products, along with strong PowerShell scripting and communication skills. Requirements
- 7+ yearsβ experience in server administration
- Experience with Windows Server 2012 to 2019/2025 administration
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products including Office 365
- Knowledge of Active Directory and domain environments
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation
- Experience with application compatibility testing
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Experience with VMware, Azure and certificate management (PKI)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers
- Ability to effectively explain technical aspects to the staff
- Upper-intermediate level of English
Responsibilities
- Providing in-place upgrades of Windows Server
- Communicating and collaborating with the team to upgrade these systems
- Ensuring service levels are maintained and tickets are tracked and resolved on time
- Taking ownership of escalated tickets and resolving them successfully
- Supporting spillover calls from the first-level queue when the call threshold has been surpassed
- Handling the weekly rotation of our Knowledge Base article maintenance
- Take ownership to resolve customer requests in accordance with SLAs and incident management protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Linux administration
- Practical skills in different OS and software configurations and support
