Senior Java Developer

Summary

Join Espeo Software, a technology company with 15+ years of experience in fintech solutions, as a Freelance Senior Java Developer. Work remotely from Poland. You will own the end-to-end delivery of complex features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain technical documentation, and enhance application quality and security. The role requires 7+ years of Java experience, expertise in modern frameworks, and experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Requirements

• 7+ years of experience
• Strong expertise in Java (17+), with one on the modern Java web frameworks (ideally with Quarkus)
• Hands on experience with one of the reactive Java frameworks (Project Reactor, Mutiny, or similar)
• Experience working on distributed systems based on event-driven architecture
• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes and Docker Compose
• Experience working AWS
• Experience in defining and maintaining infrastructure running on AWS in an immutable (declarative) fashion using Terraform and Helm
• Experience working with FIX protocol
• Experience working in financial industry
• Very good spoken and written English (at least B2)

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex new features and improvements, ensuring high quality at every stage
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that new features and code changes are properly documented
• Continuously enhance application quality and security, identifying technical debt and developing strategies to address it
• Respond to production incidents promptly and efficiently, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity
• Work closely with platform engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and optimize deployment processes
• Collaborate with SRE engineers and solution architects to enhance application availability, resilience, and observability
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers, fostering their professional growth through coaching and knowledge sharing
