Senior Java Engineer

Summary

Join Nearsure's remote LATAM team and contribute to the development and maintenance of distributed, event-driven microservices using Java and Kubernetes. As a Senior Java Engineer, you will drive architecture and design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and represent the team in technical meetings. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of Java experience, 4+ years of Kotlin experience, and experience with Microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ Years of experience working with Java
• 4+ Years of experience working with Kotlin
• 2+ Years of experience working with Microservices
• 2+ Years of experience working with AWS
• 2+ Years of experience working with Kubernetes
• Willing to work at EST
• Advanced English Level is required for this role as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design efforts for the Integrations team
• Drive the use of engineering best practices for the team and foster an environment where meeting these requirements is the standard
• Mentor newer engineers to help them grow in their own careers
• Implement distributed, event-driven microservices in Java
• Represent the team in architecture, design, and other technical meetings with stakeholders
• Present new services and major features to our Architecture Review Board for approval

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Golang is a plus
