Senior Java Software Engineer

Summary

Join HubSpot's Authentication Product Group as a Senior Java Software Engineer and contribute to building secure and reliable identity and access management systems. You will write and ship production code, build new features, collaborate with a cross-functional team, and implement experiments to improve user experience. This role requires several years of software development experience with Java, MySQL, AWS, and other backend technologies. A strong focus on user experience and data analysis skills is also essential. Remote work is supported, but in-person onboarding and some events are required. HubSpot offers a flexible and supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Have a number of years software development experience
• Experience as a Java engineer is required for this role
• Have a strong focus on the user
• Not only get excited about big, technical challenges, but also about being very close to the business and our go-to-market strategies

Responsibilities

• Write and ship production code that has meaningful user and business impact
• Envision, build and analyze new features and tools, each contributing to company growth and revenue
• Work with a small cross functional team of engineers, PMs, designers, content designers, and researchers
• Collaborate with HubSpotters all over the company, whether in engineering, product, design, research, marketing, sales, etc
• Help HubSpot users meet their goals, via changes you’ve made
• Implement experiments that give us valuable insights into user behavior and how to improve their experience
• Get exposure to how HubSpot works as a business

Preferred Qualifications

• Have or are interested in developing data analysis skills
• Are not afraid to dive into Amplitude, Looker, Excel or other data analysis tools and collaborate with our ops and analytics teams
• Are excited about unlocking the potential of AI for supercharging business efficiency
