Senior Kotlin Backend Developer

This role requires at least 5 years of backend software engineering experience, proficiency in Kotlin/Java and relevant web frameworks, and a commitment to writing testable code. Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer working on backend systems
• Experience in full cycle development. CI/CD, Database design, system and application architecture
• Relevant experience with Kotlin/Java and Webframeworks (such as Spring, Micronaut, Vert.x, Quarkus, JEE, Ktor) - We use Kotlin and Micronaut
• You write well testable and tested code
• Strong communicator, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Work remotely anywhere from Europe and travel to the office in Germany every few months to meet everyone at our company events or hackathons
• Work on existing applications as well as on the introduction of new functionalities in our backend
• Design and implement features in a team and follow agile principles and values
• Ensure code quality through code review, pair programming and testing
• Have the commitment to help shape and develop our development process in the team through feedback and retrospectives
• Coach less experienced colleagues
