Senior Kotlin Developer

Summary

Requirements

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures
• Possess NFR / Non-Functional requirement understanding and experience developing applications with this in mind
• Showcase Application / Digital Services Design experience
• Have experience in software engineering practices like Code Reviews, CI/CD Pipelines and SOLID/DRY principals
• Possess hands-on developing / coding experience using the following technologies: Frontend (TypeScript, Node, Express JS), Backend (Kotlin, SpringBoot, Hibernate)
• Have experience in estimation and sizing
• Demonstrate integration experience
• Showcase API Design experience
• Possess cloud experience
• Show an appetite to work with emerging AI technologies
• Be SC Eligible

Responsibilities

• Develop software for clients using Kotlin and Java on the AWS Cloud platform, following best practice
• Utilize TypeScript/Node.js using the GOV.UK Design System
• Utilize Kubernetes and Docker to schedule and run services hosted on AWS Cloud
• Join a Scrum Team of cross-functional skills working in a modern Agile environment
• Contribute to real decisions about technology to create maintainable solutions for our customers
• Participate in a highly collaborative group of software engineering professionals
• Learn, develop your skills, and become a rounded Developer in the process
• Undergo Security Clearance if successful
