Requirements

  • BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or closely related) or science discipline (atmospheric science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, or closely related)
  • 6+ years of relevant air quality permitting and/or air quality compliance experience is required
  • Strong mathematical/computational skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing and effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
  • Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports
  • Candidates must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time on average during the year and possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Estimating air emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources
  • Conducting computer modeling of air pollution dispersion and analyzing pollution control measures
  • Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data
  • Conducting air monitoring and indoor air quality analysis and preparing air quality permit applications
  • Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Maintaining client relationships and managing the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner
