Senior Mainframe Application Administrator

Summary

The job is for a position at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary, where the employee will work with batch jobs, analyze and troubleshoot job logs, coordinate updates, prepare and test new updates, manage datasets, participate in operational testing, provide technical support for related applications, administer tickets and documentation according to ITIL, solve complex problems, and maintain processes. The required qualifications include at least 2-4 years of relevant experience, proficiency in z/OS, JES, TSO, JCL, ISPF, Scheduler, OMVS, German and English (B1 level), and optional knowledge of Mainframe DB2, Mainframe IDMS, REXX, CLIST, Unix/Linux, PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in z/OS, JES, TSO, JCL, ISPF, Scheduler, OMVS
• German and English (B1 level)

Responsibilities

• Writing, modifying, and scheduling batch jobs
• Analyzing and troubleshooting job logs
• Coordinating updates with relevant teams
• Preparing and testing new updates (releases)
• Managing datasets
• Participating in operational testing
• Providing 2nd/3rd level technical support for related applications
• Administering tickets and documentation according to ITIL
• Solving complex problems, including root cause analysis
• Maintaining processes
• Active participation in daily/weekly customer meetings

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mainframe DB2
• Knowledge of Mainframe IDMS
• Programming skills in REXX and CLIST
• Unix/Linux experience
• PostgreSQL knowledge
