Summary
The job is for a professional with at least 6-7 years of experience in M&A/Transaction advisory services to join Connor Group, a specialized professional services firm. The role involves leading and executing engagements across the M&A lifecycle, strengthening client relationships, identifying critical deal issues, solving complex problems, and supervising staff.
Requirements
- Rated top 25% of Big Four class
- Minimum of 6-7 years of public accounting and industry experience required
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or equivalent required
- CPA license required
- Ability to manage teams and own their work product
- Hard-working, detail-oriented, and ability to motivate engagement teams
- Professional and personable demeanor
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for helping clients
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the engagement team across the M&A lifecycle
- Conduct comprehensive financial and operational analysis
- Quality of earnings for both buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagements
- Identify and communicate critical deal issues and the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks
- Solve complex problems that arise throughout the M&A lifecycle
- Challenge assumptions related to financial models
- Identify critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flows
- Interact extensively with personnel of the target companies and the client
- Review and prepare due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings
- Assist with the finalization of opening balance sheet/ purchase price allocations, and closing working capital calculations
- Prepare and execute an integration plan, monitor synergy benefits and/or resolve integration issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and familiarity with technology and/or healthcare industries preferred
- Ability to act and lead as the client contact
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
- Experience with various BI Tools or FP&A tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power B) preferred
