Senior Manager, DevOps in Worldwide

Summary

SmithRx is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Manager to lead the DevOps team and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy, ensuring smooth deployment, operation, and scaling of software applications and systems. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership, and strategic planning skills to our growing organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of demonstrated expertise in DevOps practices, including experience with automation, CI/CD, IaC, monitoring Docker and Kubernetes
• Proven people leadership experience with 5+ years managing DevOps teams
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies especially AWS
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
• Solid background in network, security, and database management

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevOps team and collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy that aligns with the organization's goals
• Implement and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated deployment of applications and services
• Promote and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage and provision infrastructure through code, improving scalability, and ensuring environment consistency
• Evaluate, select, and manage tools and technologies to automate software development, testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning processes
• Oversee the implementation of monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of applications and services
• Work closely with the security team to ensure DevOps practices meet compliance and security requirements. Implement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Lead, mentor, and develop the DevOps team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration
• Manage relationships with software and service vendors to ensure they meet the organization's standards and contribute effectively to the DevOps strategy

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Terraform is a plus
