Summary
Join Instacart's FinSys Analytics Team as a technical leader to manage a growing team of analysts. You will design scalable financial data solutions, ensure compliance and governance, champion data integrity, lead and develop talent, and drive cross-functional collaboration. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or business analytics
- 5+ years managing technical teams
- Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals, including experience with Snowflake, dbt, and BI tooling (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience managing large, complex data pipelines, ensuring data quality, compliance, and traceability
- Experience enforcing data governance policies, including access controls, change management, and lifecycle management
- Deep expertise with financial data models, accounting data structure, and business systems (e.g., Oracle, Adaptive, Workday, Salesforce)
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to align technical and non-technical teams
- Proven leadership experience in high-growth, fast-pasted environments
Responsibilities
- Design Scalable Financial Data Solutions – Develop robust data models, pipelines, and reporting systems that drive informed decision-making across teams
- Ensure Compliance & Governance – Embed “compliance by design” principles to uphold SOX standards, streamline audits, and enforce data governance
- Champion Data Integrity – Establish rigorous validation and monitoring frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability in financial data
- Lead & Develop Talent – Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Engineering to align data strategies with business objectives and operational needs
