Join Oscar, a health insurance company built on a technology platform, as a Senior Manager in the Office of the CMO. Support teams in achieving service excellence by designing and assessing operational frameworks. Serve as an individual contributor, focusing on strategic problem-solving and process improvement. Report to the Chief Medical Officer. Work location is blended, with a requirement to come into the office at least twice a week if within commuting distance of NYC, Tempe, or Los Angeles offices; otherwise, it's remote. The role requires residing in one of the specified states. Compensation includes a base pay ranging from $118,080 to $172,200 annually, depending on location, plus benefits, unlimited vacation, and annual performance bonuses.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience driving process improvement, program oversight, or operational support in a large, matrixed environment
- 5+ years of experience using data and metrics to improve processes, assess outcomes, and inform recommendations
- 4+ years of experience in a cross-functional, collaborative environment working with stakeholders across multiple disciplines and locations
- Prior experience in healthcare or health insurance (clinical background not required)
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with a demonstrated ability to create executive-facing deliverables and data visualizations
- Strong organizational skills and a clear bias for structure, clarity, and action
- Comfortable engaging with executive leadership, managing up, and communicating complex topics with precision and clarity
Responsibilities
- Support a designated business unit or function by identifying and implementing process improvements that promote service excellence, efficiency, and scalability
- Develop and maintain the critical skills necessary to inform future business decisions and support operational effectiveness
- Partner across departments and locations to build routines that drive cross-functional collaboration and visibility
- Analyze data and metrics in partnership with analytics teams to identify gaps, extract insights, and surface themes that inform decision-making
- Translate executive-level narratives into actionable workstreams, tools, trackers, and frameworks that enable progress and accountability
- Navigate ambiguity with ease, bringing clarity and structure to undefined or evolving initiatives; comfortable building from the ground up
- Create and maintain tools, trackers, and visualizations to support process transparency, measurement, and executive reporting
- Drive visibility into project status, risks, and dependencies for senior stakeholders; adapt communication styles to suit varied audiences
- Apply structured problem-solving approaches and internal best practices to continuously improve workflows and support business goals
- Provide thought leadership and influence to reidnforce a culture of operational discipline and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a bias for action in the face of complexity or change
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
