Senior Manager, Product Security Engineering

Summary

Join MongoDB's Security organization as a Security Engineering Manager and lead a globally distributed team. You will define and drive security strategy, improve security programs (fuzzing, threat modeling, etc.), and collaborate with engineering teams. Requirements

• At least 4 years as a people leader within a security domain
• At least 9 years of progressive hands on experience in security, preferably across cloud security and security engineering domains
• An understanding of product security and modern product development lifecycles
• A proven track record of successfully growing and evolving teams of high performing security practitioners
• Superb written and verbal communication, time management skills, and a growth mindset
• A strong understanding of agile-like methodologies and a demonstrated ability to effectively manage team capacity and execution
• A passion for building technical and leadership skills in others through coaching, mentoring, and career development planning

Responsibilities

• Lead a globally distributed engineering team by creating a positive culture, handling career growth and performance conversations, and aligning team execution to strategy and vision
• Take ownership, define strategy, and drive improvement for parts of our program such as fuzzing, threat modeling, secrets management, container security, vulnerability management, and other areas of application and product security
• Provide feedback on the feasibility, functionality, design, and timeline of new security engineering proposals
• Serve as a resource for other engineering teams as they take personal ownership for the security of the systems they own
• Hire, mentor and grow strong, high-performing security engineers across multiple domains

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with either high-scale database or cloud computing environments
• Working knowledge of one or more major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience scaling security programs within B2B SaaS organizations
