Requirements

  • 9+ years of software development experi ence; 5+ y ears of experience managing engineers
  • Prior experience at a hypergrowth company required; healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience managing teams that have purview across a cloud-based tech stack (AWS preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated history of working asynchronously and remotely
  • A continual drive to clear the path for your team so that they can do their best work; comfortable jumping into unfamiliar territories to achieve this goal
  • Ability to maintain a healthy balance between speed to proof-of-concept and robust, ideal systems
  • Experience driving organization-wide initiatives to improve outcomes in engineering

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and mentor a team of software engineers, foste ring a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate the execution of our technical roadmap with a focus on data-driven decisions, timely and iterative product development, simplicity, and value delivery
  • Continually support the growth and development of engineers on the team by providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements; estimate product scopes and timelines
  • Collaborate with team to contribute to technical solutions that satisfy business requirements with a focus on scalability, stability, efficiency, maintainability and extensibility

Preferred Qualifications

Passion for developing engineers in a full range of professional skills; experience developing peers or managing managers preferred
