Summary
Join Strategic America as a Senior Media Planner/Buyer and contribute to the strategic planning and execution of media campaigns for diverse clients. This remote or hybrid role in Des Moines involves leading research, developing comprehensive media plans, and overseeing the buying process to achieve client objectives. You will evaluate media channels, analyze data, present strategic plans, monitor trends, and negotiate optimal placements. The position requires strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, along with proficiency in media tools and software. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in media planning and buying
- Deep knowledge and experience working with a wide range of media, including traditional, digital and programmatic channels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors and internal teams
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in media tools and software, and Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Evaluate a wide range of media to determine the most effective channels for reaching target audiences
- Analyze and interpret data to make data-driven recommendations
- Develop and present strategic media plans that demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s business and objectives
- Monitor emerging media trends and proactively recommend innovative strategies that capitalize on new opportunities and align with client goals
- Lead the implementation of the buying process after client approval
- Negotiate optimal placements, rates, and added-value opportunities
- Manage client media budgets, track spend and adjust as needed
- Resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate financial management of media buys
- Monitor and report on campaign performance
- Provide actionable campaign insights to guide future media strategies
- Identify opportunities to expand media services for existing clients
- Maintain and enhance strong relationships with clients, colleagues and media vendors
