Senior Mobile Developer

Summary

Join Signifyd as a Senior Mobile Developer (iOS) and contribute to our core mobile technology. This role offers substantial autonomy as the primary iOS expert, collaborating with an Android engineer on foundational product components. You will design, develop, and maintain critical mobile components, explore the depths of the iOS platform, build a robust testing suite, and solve challenging technical problems. The position requires expertise in Swift and Objective-C, mobile testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. You will act as the iOS subject matter expert, guiding technical strategy and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role is remote.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in native iOS development with strong proficiency in both Swift and Objective-C
• Demonstrable experience building foundational, reusable mobile components, libraries, or frameworks
• A strong understanding of API design principles and a passion for creating clean, maintainable, and robust code
• Deep knowledge of mobile testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., XCTest, XCUITest)
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for mobile development (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Fastlane)
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, a curious mindset, and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain critical mobile components in both Swift and Objective-C
• Go beyond surface-level development to explore the depths of the iOS platform, including low-level APIs, performance optimization, memory management, and background processing
• Build and maintain a robust testing suite (unit, integration, and E2E) and fully automate our build, testing, and release processes using CI/CD pipelines
• Investigate and solve unique and challenging technical problems that require deep research and first-principles thinking
• Act as the subject matter expert for all things iOS, providing technical guidance and helping to shape our long-term mobile strategy
• Work closely with Android, web, backend, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of your iOS components with many other aspects of Signifyd’s technology stack
• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation for your iOS products
• Collaborate with our Android team to ensure consistency and architectural alignment across platforms

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Xamarin ) and/or native Android development is a significant plus
