Senior Mobile Engineer

Summary

Join Good Inside as a Senior Mobile Engineer Contractor and contribute to the development and maintenance of our Flutter-based mobile application. Collaborate with backend engineers and product managers, providing technical expertise and guidance. Design, develop, and maintain the core mobile user experience, ensuring a best-in-class product. This contract position offers a remote or hybrid work environment (if located in New York) and the opportunity to work on a high-growth startup focused on improving the lives of parents and children. You will be responsible for writing clear documentation and fostering strong team dynamics. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in native mobile development and Flutter, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in native mobile development
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Flutter and Dart.io
• A deep understanding of modern mobile development for both Android and iOS
• Proficiency and active experience in backend development in any form
• You possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• You are a strong collaborator with the ability to foster solid team dynamics and effective cross-functional relationships
• You are a team player who is willing to take direction but can get things done on your own with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You remain calm and organized when faced with shifting priorities and roadblocks
• Have the ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and drive results

Responsibilities

• The design, development and maintenance of our Flutter based mobile application
• Act as a resource for other engineers, as well as product managers regarding all things mobile
• Collaborating with backend engineers on how to best serve and visualize data
• Writing and distributing clear documentation regarding architectural choices and processes

• Start Up Growth Experience: This isn’t your first time helping a high growth startup scale. You are excited by the challenge and love creating and learning from the bottom up
• User-Facing Mobile App Experience: You have worked on businesses where the end product is an app and have experience driving app user acquisition
• Cross-Functional Marketing Experience: You have collaborated with a wide range of non-technical stakeholders with a focus on marketing and product management
• Owns challenges and drives solutions with confidence
• Communicates directly and effectively and pursues the truth, even in difficult moments
• Is motivated and driven by ambitious goals
