Responsibilities
- Obtain an understanding of the business problem and objectives, working closely with business analyst to ensure a complete and accurate understanding
- Evaluate the technical feasibility of requirements, considering scenarios and identifying scenarios not already considered, and estimate the effort needed to implement the requirements
- Design software solutions that meet the user stories and business requirements while considering performance, scalability, testability, maintainability, and security
- Make architectural decisions that align with the overall system architecture and design principles
- Effectively communicate designs through documentation, diagrams, and prototypes
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that complies with our security and coding standards
- Seek clarification on any ambiguous or unclear requirements and new scenarios encountered during development to ensure completeness and quality of deliverables
- Implement consistent and responsive design patterns and UI elements to provide a cohesive user experience across all devices and screen sizes
- Comply with, and contribute to the improvement of, our user interface standard
- Identify test case scenarios and verify developed solutions work as intended and meet requirements
- Collaborate with testers and business analyst to reproduce and rectify defects
- Implement, improve, and monitor automated regression tests (unit and UI tests)
- Conduct performance and load testing, identify and address performance bottlenecks in all system components, including code, databases, cloud services and network connections
- Setup and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage and execute new feature deployment, validating that the release meets all quality standards and requirements
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards
- Pair programming to share knowledge, ensure code quality and improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Communicate and document solutions
