Summary

Join Vattenfall's Power Logistics team and help ensure the reliable flow of power across Europe! As a Senior .NET Developer, you will shape the technological landscape of energy trading, collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders. You will design and implement modern, scalable solutions using .NET 8, Angular, Azure, and Kubernetes. Your responsibilities include full-stack development, operating critical systems, interfacing with stakeholders, connecting applications, and taking ownership of bugs. The position offers a challenging international work environment with opportunities for personal and professional development. The location is flexible, with options in Katowice or remote work from Poland, with occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Software Developer
  • Strong knowledge of .NET 8, .NET Framework, C#, TypeScript, Azure
  • Good experience with: Infrastructure as code (e.g. terraform), SQL Server, Angular, Kubernetes, Service Bus, Eventhub, Kafka, Rest API, Postmanes
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, Angular, REST APIs, Kafka, Service Bus, Eventhub
  • Good understanding of software architecture and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer orientation
  • A proactive mindset with a drive to improve standards and deliver reliable systems
  • Proficient knowledge of English

Responsibilities

  • Shape the tech direction of our Power Logistics systems in collaboration with team members and architects
  • Full-stack development of new features and improvements using .NET 8, Angular, Azure and Kubernetes
  • Operate critical systems: build, test, deploy and monitor – "you build it, you run it"
  • Interface with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Connect applications across our ecosystem using REST APIs, service buses, and event-driven tools
  • Take ownership of bugs, identify improvement patterns, and support the product owner with enhancements
  • Engage in agile ceremonies and contribute to a collaborative, learning-driven team culture
  • (optional) participate in 24/7 On-Call support for critical systems

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the energy sector, especially energy trading or ETRM are a definite plus
