Summary

Join Ubiminds, a GPTW-certified company, and contribute to the modernization of a monolith to microservices for two American software product companies. As a Senior .NET Engineer, you will focus on iterative refactoring, containerization, and deployment of ASP.NET Core services. You will work with ASP.NET Core Web API and MVC/Razor Pages, replace synchronous HTTP calls with asynchronous event emissions, create and maintain Docker files, and collaborate in setting up CI/CD pipelines. You will also participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and troubleshooting issues in non-prod EKS clusters. This is a remote-first position offering various benefits and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Advanced/fluent English skills โ€“ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with ASP.NET Core development experience on .NET 6 or higher
  • Solid understanding of Web API and MVC project patterns; experience with light-weight ORMs is a plus
  • Practical experience with Docker and container orchestration
  • Familiarity with refactoring large codebases for microservice architectures

Responsibilities

  • Service Development & Refactoring
  • Work with ASP.NET Core Web API and MVC/Razor Pages projects to extract, refactor, and consolidate services along domain boundaries
  • Replace synchronous HTTP calls with asynchronous event emissions to Event Bridge where appropriate
  • Containerization & CI/CD
  • Create and maintain Docker files; build and deploy services to local Docker Desktop/WSL2 for validation
  • Collaborate in setting up GitHub Actions (or equivalent) pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment to EKS
  • Collaboration & Quality Assurance
  • Participate in code reviews, unit/integration test development (MSTest/Moq), and cross-team design workshops
  • Troubleshoot issues in non-prod EKS clusters, ensuring services communicate correctly with RDS, Redis, and other dependencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work on event-driven or message-based systems using AWS Event Bridge, SQS, or similar
  • Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS), Helm/ArgoCD, and AWS managed services (RDS, ElastiCache, or Redis)
  • Experience with cloud security and secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, External Secrets Operator)
