Summary

Join New Era Technology's IT team as a Senior Network Administrator, contributing to the design, implementation, support, and optimization of network infrastructure. This role involves managing Fortinet and Cisco environments, working with VMware, Azure, and other technologies. You will support internal teams and select customer environments, ensuring network security, efficiency, and performance. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and expertise in network administration, including Fortinet devices. Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet (mandatory)
  • Solid understanding of Cisco (preferably CCIE certified), Cradlepoint, and Meraki solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure , Windows Server , Active Directory , and M365
  • Familiar with network cabling, terminations, and using packet capture tools for troubleshooting
  • Expert-level knowledge of Fortinet devices: FS-548D, FS-3032E, FS-1024D FG-1200D, FG-500E, FG-200E, FG-60F
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking, IT, or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in network administration
  • Strong knowledge of NAT, traffic rules, Layer 3/7 protocols, and firewall security best practices
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and global environment
  • Flexible with after-hours and weekend work during planned upgrades or outages

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including SD-WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, wireless APs, and firewalls
  • Maintain and manage Fortinet devices (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient, FortiCloud, FortiNAC)
  • Participate in network-related audits, DR tests, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
  • Support and monitor network performance, generate performance reports, and recommend optimizations
  • Oversee data center networking components, including UPS and HVAC interfaces
  • Assist in creating and maintaining network topology diagrams, inventory, and documentation
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for network usage, administration, and security
  • Provide expert-level escalation support to internal teams and customers
  • Collaborate with global IT teams and external vendors on project rollouts and issue resolution
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge-sharing and training initiatives
  • Monitor incident tickets, alerts, and change requests, and provide timely resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to hosted Unified Communications platforms and Cisco Call Manager (a plus)
  • Certifications in Fortinet (NSE 1–3), Cisco (CCIE), CompTIA, Microsoft, Linux, or ITIL preferred
