Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect, and related technologies
  • Proven expertise in network security principles, protocols, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of network architectures, routing, and switching concepts
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama management system, GlobalProtect VPN, and other related security solutions
  • Develop and implement security policies, rules, and objects to ensure optimal network protection and performance
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, security events, and logs to identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Palo Alto Networks solutions with other security tools and infrastructure components
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Participate in project planning, implementation, and documentation efforts
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Palo Alto Networks technologies, best practices, and security trends
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Palo Alto Networks products and services
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., PCCNSE, PCCSA, PCNSE) are highly preferred
  • Experience with cloud security solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud, Prisma Access)
  • Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST)
  • Zero Trust Architecture, Design, and Deployment Experience
