Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with at least 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, site reliability, platform engineering, DevOps or similar roles
  • Strong experience in Kubernetes including production-grade cluster management, deployments and service mesh implementation
  • Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud networking models
  • Experience with service discovery, API gateways, and distributed systems
  • Experience with MQTT, message brokers and event-driven systems
  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Crossplane, or Pulumi for infrastructure automation
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and scripting
  • Understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle processes
  • Hands-on experience with GitOps Workflows and developer automation tooling
  • Solid understanding of Linux, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, IPsec), and cloud security
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage scalable, resilient infrastructure in AWS, GCP, Azure and on-prem environments
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Crossplane, and Kubernetes operators
  • Implement GitOps workflows to manage infrastructure and automation
  • Design and implement hybrid cloud networking models, including VPC peering, Transit Gateways, VPNs, and Direct Connect
  • Optimize service-to-service communication across clouds and data centers
  • Improve network observability and security by integrating firewall rules, network policies, and zero-trust architectures
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, leveraging service meshes like Istio for secure service-to-service communication
  • Build and maintain internal developer tooling and self-service infrastructure platforms
  • Enable engineering teams with secure, scalable environments for application development and deployment
  • Standardize IAM policies, RBAC, and workload identity management across cloud providers
  • Enhance incident response, postmortem analysis, and performance optimization strategies
  • Ensure high availability, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery planning for critical infrastructure
  • Enforce cloud security best practices, including network segmentation, least privilege access, and encryption
  • Work with compliance teams to meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other regulatory requirements
  • Partner with software engineers, release engineering, and security teams to drive platform adoption and best practices across the organization
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform engineering processes, configurations, and tools
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, sharing knowledge on best practices and tools

  • Experience with HiveMQ, Temporal, Kafka
  • SOC 2 or related (HIPAA/HITRUST/PCI) Experience
