Summary

Join CapIntel's expanding Platform Engineering Team as a Senior Platform Developer and play a key role in shaping the architecture, reliability, and scalability of our engineering systems. You will design and implement cloud infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, and internal tools to enhance developer experience and support faster, more secure product delivery. This platform-focused role also involves occasional contributions to service-level design and integration with product teams. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve development workflows, build secure and scalable AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code, standardize deployment processes, and develop internal tools. Requirements

  • AWS Infrastructure : Hands-on experience designing and managing cloud environments using core AWS services
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Proficiency with tools like AWS CDK to build reusable, scalable, and secure infrastructure patterns
  • CI/CD Automation : Experience designing and maintaining deployment pipelines that support reliable and secure delivery
  • Cloud Security & Observability : Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools to maintain visibility and reliability in production environments
  • Collaboration & Problem Solving : Recognized for partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and driving technical improvements

Responsibilities

  • Improve development workflows : Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify and reduce friction across the development lifecycle
  • Design and manage cloud infrastructure : Build secure, scalable AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code to support product development
  • Standardize deployment processes : Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that promote consistency, automation, and reliable software delivery
  • Build platform tools and services : Develop internal tools that enable self-service and streamline operations across teams
  • Advocate for best practices : Help define cloud, security, and reliability standards while mentoring team members to adopt them

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic
  • Background in security-focused development or threat modelling
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, including frameworks like OWASP Top 10 or MITRE ATT&CK
