Senior Principal Software Engineer

Summary

Join Palo Alto Networks' Agentless Access team and play a critical role in building a global, agentless access service for desktop and mobile platforms. This is a highly technical role focused on frontend and backend development, cloud technologies, and large distributed systems. You will be a technical lead, responsible for end-to-end development of new features, from design to release. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in Go, C++, or Python, and experience with cloud environments. Requirements

• 8+ years' of experience as a software engineer
• Programming Experience in Go, C++, Python
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming design concepts
• Experience in developing/architecting large and solutions in cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• Attention to details and high behavioral standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• BS/MS in CS, Engineering or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Be a technical lead who can take on core parts of the implementation with autonomy
• Play a major role in designing and maturing the foundational design
• End-To-End responsibility for development of new features, including both writing the specs and implementing it
• Participate in full product release cycles, from feature design to version release
• Learn new features and technologies in a relatively short amount of time
