Senior Principal Software Engineer

Summary

Join Palo Alto Networks' Agentless Access team and play a critical role in building a global, agentless access service for desktop and mobile platforms. This is a highly technical role focused on frontend and backend development, cloud technologies, and large distributed systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, participating in full product release cycles, and working with cutting-edge cloud browsers based on Chromium. The team is building the product from the ground up, offering the opportunity to shape the service's design and maturity. This position requires significant software engineering experience and expertise in various programming languages and cloud technologies. Requirements

• 8+ years' of experience as a software engineer
• Programming Experience in Go, C++, Python
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming design concepts
• Experience in developing/architecting large and solutions in cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• Attention to details and high behavioral standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• BS/MS in CS, Engineering or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience

Responsibilities

• Be a technical lead who can take on core parts of the implementation with autonomy
• Play a major role in designing and maturing the foundational design
• End-To-End responsibility for development of new features, including both writing the specs and implementing it
• Participate in full product release cycles, from feature design to version release
• Learn new features and technologies in a relatively short amount of time

• The starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $170000 - $277000/YR
