Requirements

  • Passion for our mission to tackle the youth mental health crisis
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Product Designer with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in user research, interaction, and visual design
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with engineers using modern design tools
  • A curiosity driven by first principles thinking, reimagining how technology can improve healthcare and education
  • Experience creating data visualizations that guide users in making informed decisions
  • Affinity for fast-paced startup environments that prioritize outcomes over effort
  • At times, work efficiently under high levels of pressure and demanding timelines

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process for major features, from ideation through implementation, incorporating feedback from diverse stakeholders, including the executive team
  • Quickly iterate and prototype several concepts to validate product direction
  • Facilitate collaboration sessions with product managers and engineers to create optimal user flows
  • Partner with data teams to develop visualizations that help school staff monitor student outcomes
  • Partner with operations and customer success teams to streamline access to care for students and families
  • Conduct user behavior research and establish a data-driven design practice to inform feature development
  • Deliver detailed specifications and assets to engineering
  • Maintain and enhance our design system to improve the efficiency and quality in feature development
  • Work side-by-side with QA teams to ensure final builds align with designs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess a B.A. / B.S. degree in a design related field like Product Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or Human-Computer Interaction
  • Experience in healthcare and/or Ed. Tech
  • Experience working in early stage technology startups
