Requirements
- 5+ years of related work experience; knowledge of data structures, relational databases, data warehousing, visualization, and location analytics
- Self-starter with effective time management and organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks working within software release deadlines
- Superior attention to detail and results-oriented
- Understanding of data management best practices; experience or exposure to cloud data tools (AWS, Azure) and working with large datasets at scale
- Able to compose complex SQL queries and comfortable using at least one other scripting language such as Python or R
- Highly experienced using the ArcGIS platform or other geospatial technology for spatial analysis
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
- Experienced in communicating complex business workflows to non-technical audiences
- Ability to think critically about business challenges and willing to ask questions
- Bachelors in GIS, computer/data science, STEM or related field
Responsibilities
- Develop robust, well-documented scripting workflows to automate data ingestion and transformation
- Design quality assurance procedures and automated tests to ensure quality of data deliverables
- Apply creative data analytical approaches to identify data relationships, trends, and anomalies
- Coordinate across teams working with data to identify process gaps and continually improve operational efficiency of data pipelines
- Serve as a data subject matter expert and point of contact to other Esri internal teams; create customer-facing blogs and technical resources
- Design, build, and deploy data reporting solutions (such as reports, dashboards, visualizations) that provide insight to decision makers
- Assist development teams with testing new software capabilities and improvements prior to public release
- Support and interact with existing customers (internal and external) to improve the value, relevance, and applicability of data content to existing and future ArcGIS users
- Engage with product management to address customer needs and plan new data offerings for the ArcGIS platform
- Follow the evolution of analytics and data technology to maintain best practices and domain knowledge with fast-evolving technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Masters in GIS, computer/data science, STEM or related field
