Senior Product Manager, Databases Logs

Summary

Join Grafana Labs as a remote Product Manager for Logs, focusing on our logs offerings including Loki, Grafana Cloud Logs, and Grafana Enterprise Logs. You will develop a vision and strategy for the product domain, own the roadmap and collateral, and collaborate with leadership. As the primary advocate, you will communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders. You will act as a bridge between Engineering, Design, and Product Design, ensuring information flow. This role requires strong communication skills and technical proficiency. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

• A BSBA/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in Product Management
• 3+ years of experience working on a B2B SaaS product
• Experience with open source or commercial logging databases and/or large scale data collection, storage, querying, and analytics
• A desire to dive into complex solutions and work with a highly technical product and customers
• Experience partnering with Product Design to build delightful user experiences
• Experience working with engineering teams to design and build products in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap
• Empathize with customer problems in order to collect user needs, requirements, and pain points
• Curate and convey user feedback to Engineering, while providing evidence to support tradeoffs and priorities
• Work closely with Product Marketing to explain our tracing platform’s unique differentiation to Go-To-Market teams, creating documentation, blog posts, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers
• Use your deep product expertise to make decisions about our go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing, and tiering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating or using Grafana Labs open source projects, including Grafana Loki, Grafana Tempo, Grafana Mimir, or Grafana itself
• Experience with OpenTelemetry
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience building observability and/or monitoring tools and/or other types of developer tools
• Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
• Experience with products offered both via SaaS and self-managed
