Requirements

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
  • Having a driving license is mandatory, as the projects are outside the Lisbon area
  • Higher Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrotechnical / Environmental Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience, with a track-record as Project Developer during permitting, preferably in renewable energy projects in Portugal
  • Experience dealing with local administration
  • Knowledge of regulation and processes of renewable energy projects in Portugal
  • You should have basic design experience of wind/solar projects and be comfortable working with AutoCAD and other software
  • Operate at the highest-level integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Responsibilities

  • Launch and assess feasibility reports for the identified opportunities
  • Launch and monitor each step of the permitting process
  • Manage all resources assigned to the project in order to control and report its status
  • Manage and interact with different external providers
  • Identify, implement and monitor improvement and/or corrective actions throughout project management (schedule, scope, cost, quality, risk, safety)
  • Report the activities' progress, flag risks, provide solutions
  • Liaise with the support units based in the HQ in Paris, on a regular basis, to fine tune/optimize the projects on a long-term approach, during the projects’ lifespan
  • Partner with the business development team, support the relationship with local stakeholders and third parties
  • Provide support/mentoring to the other colleagues in the development team by sharing expertise and knowledge in the sector/permitting processes
  • Partner with the construction team, manage compliance of permits during construction
  • Coordinate the technical studies required
  • In your senior role, you will also have a mentoring responsibility towards the other Project Developers in the team
