Requirements
- Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Have 5+ years of professional related events experience
- Have expertise in onsite events
- Thrive in customer engagement and working with customers
- Be able to travel 50-75% of time including on-site at events and site-visits and weekends
- Be skilled in negotiating and contracting with vendors
- Have experience in the motorsports and/or tires industry
- Demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple tasks, work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events at once
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all aspects of planning and executing Continental Tire PLT Sales and Marketing events including ride and drives, product launches, internal conferences, and various customer facing events
- Coordinate all event logistics, including pre-event meetings with key event stakeholders to agree on event strategy, event timeline creation, vendor and venue management including negotiation and procurement/selection, budget forecasting and post-event evaluations to ensure continued success of events
- Be responsible for all aspects of on-site event management
- Work with various company leaders to execute PLT Sales and Marketing events. Including proposing and implementing complex logistical plans to ensure successful pre-event and on-site event execution resulting in a positive attendee experience
- Create and manage detailed event timelines, email correspondence to meet vendor and other key deadlines
- Work with activation partners to drive onsite engagement at various live events through digital data collection and consumer engagement
- Work with sales leadership and product management to identify products to showcase at internal and external Drive and Learn events
- Work with sales leadership and product management to identify products to showcase at product launch events
- Work within corporate guidelines on procurement and negotiation of necessary event vendors and venues through Continental Tires current systems. Including working with legal, tax, insurance, procurement, credit card, and accounts payable teams
- Provide high level, internal and external customer and event attendee, communication, and customer service
- Help manage event budgets to manage overall expenses through the planning process and event execution. Including forecasting costs pre-event and reconciling event bills at the conclusion of each
- Be able to work flexible hours on-site at events
Preferred Qualifications
- Have 7+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Be detail oriented and have traveled to, operated, and problem-solved at a variety of events including external and internal meetings and conferences
- Have deep experience in motorsports and/or tire specific experience
