Senior Public Affairs Specialist

Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Public Affairs Specialist with 6 years of experience in PR, policy, or related fields to lead our Public Affairs programs and activities remotely. The role involves strategic planning, team management, content creation, and tracking the effectiveness of public relations campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 6 years of dedicated experience in public relations, policy, corporate communications, or related field
• Proficiency in digital media platforms, content management systems, and media monitoring tools
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence across organizational levels
• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and mentor team members
• Effective organizational and time management skills, with a history of meeting tight deadlines
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to clear a comprehensive Government background investigation

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic lead and main contact for principals driving project management for high-visibility policy roll-outs, events, and story placement
• Oversee and support teams’ professional development
• Proactively identify team’s needs and participate in high-level meetings with principals
• Create compelling content for press releases, articles, op-eds, blog posts, social media, and other communication platforms
• Track and analyze the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and initiatives
• Maintain pulse on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging issues relevant to the organization's mission and reputation. Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on market intelligence and competitive analysis
