Senior Python Developer

Join CI&T as a Python Engineer/AWS ML Ops Expert and contribute to a nearshore team working on a mortgage technology project. You will implement and deploy intelligent systems to optimize expensive third-party verification APIs, minimizing costs while maintaining effective verification. This role involves building infrastructure for data-driven decision-making, creating monitoring dashboards, and collaborating with data scientists. You will ensure security and compliance while handling sensitive data and optimize serverless architecture for cost-efficient processing. Requirements

• Solid experience in Python development
• Solid experience with AWS services (particularly Lambda, Step Functions, SageMaker, DynamoDB)
• Experience implementing systems that make real-time decisions based on data and business rules
• Strong understanding of ML Ops practices and model deployment
• Experience building monitoring and logging systems for API usage
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments
• Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems
• Version control expertise (Git)
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a collaborative, remote environment

Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy machine learning models that optimize third-party API call sequences
• Build systems that can make real-time decisions on which verification services to call based on available data
• Develop infrastructure to track and analyze the effectiveness and cost of different API call strategies
• Create monitoring dashboards to visualize API usage patterns, costs, and optimization opportunities
• Implement and maintain data pipelines that capture call patterns and outcomes for continuous improvement
• Design and build systems that can A/B test different API call strategies to determine optimal approaches
• Collaborate with data scientists to translate optimization algorithms into production systems
• Ensure security and compliance when handling sensitive verification data
• Implement logging and tracing systems to provide visibility into API call decision-making
• Design architecture that supports quick updates to call sequence strategies as models improve
• Optimize serverless architecture to support cost-efficient processing of verification workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building systems that optimize API usage or implement intelligent routing
• Familiarity with implementing decision tree algorithms in production
• Knowledge of financial service verification APIs and their usage patterns
• Experience building systems that track and attribute costs to different processing decisions
• Background in implementing A/B testing frameworks for decisioning systems
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Machine Learning Specialty)
• Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for handling sensitive financial data
• Prior experience working with international teams
• Understanding of building systems that balance rule-based and ML-based decision making
