Summary
Join Version 1, a leading technology services company, as a Python Developer. Support solution architects and integration leads in designing integrations, aligning with architectural principles. Collaborate with project managers on estimations, risk management, and planning. Provide expertise in Python tooling, GIT repository maintenance, and deployment processes. Develop and maintain Python code for integration components, conduct code reviews, and create coding templates. Develop scripts for integration tasks, perform testing and debugging, and optimize integration performance. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful integration and provide ongoing maintenance and support. Ensure all integration points are secure and compliant with security standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience for more than 6+ years as a Python Developer
- Proficiency in Python programming and related frameworks/libraries
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data structures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities
- Architecture Design Support: Support Solution Architect and Integration Lead on the development of Integration Designs and ensure alignment with SA principles
- Development Estimation, Issue, Risk management and Planning Support: Support Project Manager on the development of estimates, issue and risk identification and general planning support
- Python Tooling: Provide recommendations on Python versions, tools, libraries and frameworks to accelerate development and enhance code maintainability going forward
- Repo Maintenance: Provide expertise on project setup in GIT and best practice for cross team code collaboration
- Deployment: Deploy code and script where necessary to ensure a smooth, secure and repeatable deployment process across environments and to allow for implementation of DevOps pipelines in the future
- Python Coding: Write and handover Python code for integration components. Conduct code reviews for critical components. Develop coding templates for utilisation by other developers
- Scripting and scheduling: Develop scripts where required for integration tasks such as moving files to target systems or scheduling of certain processes in the integration pipeline
- Testing and Debugging: Assist in the Developing Unit and System Integration test plans, writing test scripts, and performing debugging to ensure the integration works seamlessly
- Performance Optimization: Analysing and optimizing the performance of the integration
- Technical Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for the integration process, including code comments, deployment documentation, and runbooks
- Collaboration: Working closely with other developers, project managers, key users, Technology services infrastructure team, third parties and other stakeholders to ensure successful integration
- Maintenance and Support: Providing ongoing support and maintenance for the integrated systems, addressing any issues that arise during SIT, UAT and Hypercare
- Security: Ensuring that all integration points are secure and comply with relevant security standards and best practices
