Senior Python Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Python Engineer and become deeply involved in all phases of product development. You will define, implement, and execute manual and automated tests, report on testing progress, and measure performance. This remote position is available in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. The role requires extensive software development experience, a focus on building scalable applications, and strong Python programming skills. You will collaborate with developers, designers, and customer support engineers. Experience with test automation frameworks and RESTful services is essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +5 years of software quality testing with automation experience
• +3 years of experience in programming languages such as Python
• Experience testing RESTful services
• Experience in UI/End-End Automation
• Experience Working on high quality software in an enterprise SaaS company on a public cloud (any of AWS/Azure/GCP), preferably in an enterprise SaaS company

Responsibilities

• Author and automate test plans, test specification for the product features
• Design and develop scripts to automate feature regressions and critical workflows
• Drive tests and debug processes of multiple complex components of software technologies, systems, and applications
• Work with various developers, product designers, and customer support engineers within the company to deliver defect fixes and enhancements that follow the overall product direction
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and isolate defects and report them to a bug tracking database (such as JIRA)
• Test automation of web applications; experience with multiple automation test frameworks
