Senior Python Software Engineer

Summary

Join DeleteMe, a leader in proactive privacy protection, as a Senior Python Software Engineer. You will build and scale our core monitoring and enforcement service, a high-impact system processing hundreds of millions of requests monthly using diverse techniques. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Python developer
• 3+ years of experience with Django
• 3+ years of experience with Celery or other distributed task queue manager
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Passion for contributing to a collaborative culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, and personal accountability
• Excellent knowledge of OOP and functional programming
• Strong Python development experience with web development and distributed systems
• Experience with browser automation, web scraping, proxies, and data extraction techniques
• Expertise in scalable architectures and high-reliability systems
• Ability to apply white hat and black hat methodologies in a responsible and ethical manner
• A proactive mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• This role may require occasional domestic and international travel. All standard travel expenses will be covered in accordance with the company's travel reimbursement policy

Responsibilities

• Deliver features using design by contract to ensure quality and system consistency
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality, resilient systems using Python
• Design and implement GraphQL and REST API using Django to support monitoring PII
• Ensure 90%+ on-time project delivery and maintain uptime compliance
• Utilize proxies and other networking techniques to optimize data collection and avoid detection
• Build horizontally scalable architecture and fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Work with security teams to address compliance requirements
• Collaborate with Product to solve complex customer challenges
• Conduct code reviews, uphold best practices, and promote a strong engineering culture
