Senior Python Software Engineer

Requirements

• Have significant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level (at least 6 years’ commercial experience)
• Have practical experience of delivering in an agile environment
• Have practical experience and knowledge of developing real-world solutions
• Have deep knowledge of the Python language
• Have deep understanding of Python frameworks, including FastAPI and Pydantic
• Have deep understanding of versioning control tools - e.g. Git
• Have testing experience and familiarity with testing tools at all levels, unit, integration and end to end testing
• Have practical and real-world experience working with databases and cloud environments
• Have experience with automation, CI and CD
• Have experience building software collaboratively using pull requests and code reviews
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Have professional proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Design & build applications using Python
• Support component design, development and maintenance and take responsibility for personal technical quality standards within the project team
• Assist with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building and deployment
• Design and implement data storage solutions
• Optimize performance in applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Get feedback from users and clients, and build solutions for them
• Assist with the analysis of client requirements
• Work with and support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery
• Collaborate with client teams
