Senior QA Automation

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior QA Automation Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. The role involves owning the QA strategy across multiple platforms, working in Agile teams, and developing automated test suites for various applications. You will collaborate on test plans and validation strategies. This remote position is based in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• Experience with OutSystems or other low-code platforms
• 5+ years of QA experience, with a strong focus on test automation
• Proficient in Python and/or Java—flexibility in tech stack is welcome if fundamentals are solid
• Experience with QA frameworks such as Base Tester, Selenium, or equivalent
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile delivery models and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the QA strategy across multiple platforms, ensuring high-quality standards throughout the SDLC
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and analysts in a cross-functional Agile team
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for both legacy (Python-based) and modern (OutSystems/Base Tester) applications
• Collaborate on test plans, acceptance criteria, and validation strategies that support data-driven systems

Preferred Qualifications

Experience testing data pipelines and working with AWS Glue, PySpark, or similar ETL tools is a big plus
