Remote Senior QA Engineer

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of practical experience in fintech or financial services-based product testing.

Requirements

• Experience: 3-6 years of practical experience in fintech or financial services-based product testing
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and test processes
• Experience in testing web, mobile[must have], and API applications
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Postman) and bug tracking systems
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills for identifying issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
• Ability to work effectively within an Agile team and adapt to changing requirements

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Design
• Analyze product requirements and system specifications to design detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Develop and maintain comprehensive manual test cases for web, mobile, and backend systems
• Test Execution
• Execute manual test cases across multiple platforms (Web, Android, iOS) to identify defects and ensure product quality
• Document, track, and resolve bugs and issues effectively using tools such as Jira or similar
• Collaboration and Communication
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and design teams to understand new features and regression impact
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Quality Assurance Documentation
• Maintain detailed test documentation including test cases, test plans, test reports, and bug reports
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of test processes and outcomes
• Utilise existing automation to save manual efforts
• Have basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Rest assured Appium)  & Java concepts for understanding the overall QA process
• Continuous Improvement
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new testing methodologies
• Recommend and implement improvements to testing processes and workflows
• Help to onboard and mentor new QA members joining in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Rest assured Appium) for utilizing existing test automation on a daily basis
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
