Summary

Join Canary Technologies as a Senior QA Engineer and contribute to the quality of our flagship hospitality products. You will design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test suites, collaborating with various teams. This fully remote role requires 5+ years of QA experience, including building and maintaining automated test suites and a deep understanding of QA fundamentals. You will triage and report defects, identify gaps in test coverage, and communicate results effectively. Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on QA experience, with a strong focus on manual testing methodologies
  • Proven track record building and maintaining automated test suites
  • Deep understanding of software QA fundamentals, including test planning, defect tracking, and metrics
  • Excellent English communication skills—comfortable writing clear bug reports and leading distributed discussions
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases across web and API layers
  • Develop, extend, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders— clients’ QA teams, integration partners, and cross-functional teams—to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into our QA processes
  • Triage, track, and report defects; work with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution
  • Take initiative to identify gaps in test coverage and propose solutions that improve overall product quality
  • Communicate test results, risks, and recommendations clearly in English, both verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing Python/Django applications
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions)
